The last winners according to nhlchampionshipbelt.com:
Winnipeg
Edmonton
Calgary
Vancouver
Detroit
Florida
Washington (won division but were ranked 7th in points and tiebreaker)
Nashville
Good teams have a better chance to take it when they play the belt holder. But the final belt holder depends 100% on schedule and who's hot and not that night.
Going through the schedule I've got islanders taking it from cba on the last day of the season. Just guesses though.
This.
THE ONLY TIME a team with a higher win% has the advantage is when they are playing directly for the belt, which they have zero control over. And let's be honest, the mid-low ranked teams always play spoiler at the end, good teams sit their best players a lot of the time before playoffs.

how am i to do that if you cant understand that teams with higher win% has a slightly better chance than teams than a lower win %
So this is moot, unless the team is in possession in the final let's say 5 games, or is in the final game to gain possession.
I don't see how a high win% mid-season would help at all, if you are almost guarantee to lose the belt because you can't go unbeaten.
