Lupul one good season

Lupul is made of glass. He isn't a big scorer, and is inconsistent to say the least. You really think he is worth over $5M a year for 5 years????

considering some of the players making 5m a year yes i feel its a good deal. i'd rather it only be a 3 or 4 year deal but in a few years the cap will be super high again anyways so it wont make a big difference

lupul is a 2nd liner at the very least .. shit when he was on philly he was getting 20-25 goals on the 3rd line its not like he was getting 20 pionts n had 1 good year
dont think hes worth quite 5m but lupul is underrated imo

Just look at his comparables. Do you really think he (and Grabovski for that matter) belongs there?

He's played a combined 143 games int he last 3 years. He hasn't played an 80 game season since his time with Edmonton. And remember, the cap is going DOWN next year. This was just a bad deal.

we have 17m in cap space next year

And look at your free agents. Kadri, Macarthur, Bozak, Gunnarsson, Franson, and still the goalie situation.

mac is as good as gone with frattin taking his place. the only guy who may make more then 3.5-4m is gunnarsson. as for the goalie situation we need play out the season and then decide what to do plus we have 2 amnesty buyouts we can use

Henrik Karlsson traded to Chicago for a 7th round pick. Odd since they could have picked him up on waivers the other day for nothing
