Yes he's german and yeah this song is in the same style of ''One'' of SHM and has a pretty big SHM influence overall in this songs.
But Basto has a very unique style that I really like which is he throws such random notes during build up but then it all makes sense just before the drop and he always add a high pitch that I like.
