jvr knocked it off but your supposed to pick it up and put it on or go to the bench not go to the corner check a guy and keep playing for like 30 secs

The two times I’ve seen it they’ve said in the broadcast it’s refs discretion. If they warn them and they don’t put it on then it’s an instant penalty.

Can anyone explain the difference about the throwing the stick penalty/ps rules? Kapanen throws his broken stick at petrys feet when defending a pp and it’s a ps. But phi guy throws his stick to try and stop a break away and it’s only a penalty? Was it because one stick was broken and one wasn’t? Jc
