Don’t think you understood Twax... a skater serves goalie penalties.
Even if the goalie had to go to box the back-up would step in.
That’s kinda odd now that I think of , why not force team to put back-up in when a goalie takes a penalty

Oh okay, thanks for clarifying (i know little about hockey technical stuff)

Tuukka shouldve definitely ripped his mask off then and threw it near the ref immediately after his blade fell off.

He should have focused on the play and in all likelyhood he/his defense would have stopped and covered up the simple point shot. Intentionally taking a penalty to go 2 men short would be foolish. It was upto Rask to be aware of the rule and what the refs could(n’t) do about his blade.
