I like that they've finally moved it to a war room with the same handful of guys making every call. With that we should see a lot more consistency, as well as communication from the NHL on why goals were called a certain way. This is how it should have been handled right from the get-go, letting the Refs make individual calls was always going to be a mess because it's 60+ guys interpretation of the rule instead of a few.

Lus glove was in the blue paint. The rule as its written says any contact even incidental in the crease is up to the player to avoid.

The contact made in the crease jarred the puck lose. Without this contact the puck stayed in his feet.


As the rule is written they made the correct call.

Blue paint = goalies house.

White the goalie can get fucked
