sure, they lack a 2C but he's still arguably a top5 c in this league

Haha just kidding, Toews is obviously a good player, but the Olympics is like 7 or 8 games long, you can't really judge players fairly from such a short sample size.

He's the best two-way forward in the game. He does nearly everything right in gives everything night in/ night out. He might not be the best dangler/ goal scorer/ passer but he can do anything more than well, his all-around game is so strong and complete..Plus he's the best captain in the league at 25 years of age. I could go on...

This... IMO being good defensively and complete in general is so underrated. People just love points/offense.

I laugh when people think a guy like Stamkos is better than Toews.




Crosby is the best player in the world offensively but I rather have Toews who does a lot more other things.

Anyway, I've had many debates on Toews here and I've come to the conclusion that I can't change you guys mind about it

All I'm saying is that Toews is fortunate to play on such a stacked team, if he was playing for a bad team he would be a good 1st line center and that's it. There wouldn't be any of those " he's the best leader in the game " talk.

I don't really understand this argument. Every winning team has more than 1 great player.

Obviously if he didn't have support, he wouldn't look as good, but that doesn't mean he still wouldn't be the best.



Gretzky had a ton of great players playing with him and he's considered the best of all time.
