Detroit has more depth than vancouver when healthy..

Upfront? Ya, they get the edge. Full d core and goaltending-wise? Not a chance in hell.

If Malhotra was still on our line up we'd be so deep one could go from the Canucks locker room to China in one leap.

I don't think it's a question of whether they want to do the "boring" part of the game or not.

It's just the nucks have guys specifically for that like Kesler.

Sedins are there specifically for putting up points, Canucks don't need to rely on them for anything other than that.

And the Wings didn't? Your best players have to battle and set an example. That's all I'm saying.

Do you think luc robitaille would have changed his game to be a 4th line penalty killer if Fedorov was the captain instead of Yzerman? Honest question. Your captain has to be your leader, he can't just be a guy that puts up points.

As much as i hate Ovechkin, he is doing what he needs to do to set an example for his team. I'd take him in a heart beat over daniel sedin in the playoffs if he plays like he is now.

d core yes, goaltending obviously not, but it doesn't matter when you have players like Datstyuk who play INCREDIBLE defense

Detroit and Vancouver both have stellar depth in all areas (Except goaltending imo for Detroit)
Difference being Detroit's best players will be retiring in the coming years

Ofcourse, that's all you do. You add ZILCH to any conversations you partake in other than to somehow find a reason to gloat about the Panthers.

you are as irrelevent to this sub-forum as the Panthers are to the NHL. Fitting couple really.

Datstyuk, franzen, zetterberg, rafalski, helm still have juice in them for more seasons

Zetterberg is the same age as Sedin's and Datsyuk is 2 years older than the Sedins...

Detroit has a much better prospect pool too not to mention a much better track record in drafting...

First 3 yah
Lidstrom is done this season or next
Rafalski not too far away
Detroit could have problems headed there way in maybe 5 years or so
