In PA basically everyone has a DUI and it’s sad to think that people just don’t care. Coworker has 3 duis and the thought of jail time for it sickens him. it’s like if you didn’t learn from the first, let alone the second why would you think they’d see nothing less than an obvious repeat offender and throw the books at you just based off of knowing that. People that drink and drive are the worst. I understand if you were at dinner and had a beer, having 1 beer and waiting a hour is perfectly fine. But drinking shot after shot at the bar or at home and leaving right after is down right negligence.
It's so senseless. Personally I have been impacted by drinking and driving accidents as well.
Such a tragedy. Our culture needs to change. A lot of people just don't seem to care or think it's not a big deal.
Remove the temptation to drink and drive. If you know you will be drinking don't bring your car. I'm able bodied and just walk home or take transit because I am too cheap to Uber/taxi.
Saving yourself a bit of time/money as a justification for drinking and driving is unbelievably selfish.
