Turkish authorities say an employee at the Canadian consulate in Istanbul is in hospital after opening a package filled with yellow powder.

Similar packages were also reported at the German and Belgian consulates.

Wow.. likely another terrorist attack( even though it's smaller )

I'm seeing 7 employees to the hospital, only one had direct contact and the others were just in the same room. Sounds like a precaution, and that the direct contact was with the envelope and not the powder.

Still, scary to have 2 things in quick succession.

3 things if you count the extremist who ran over two soldiers in Quebec on Monday, killing one.

I read that they had turned ofrf the a/c and kept them all in the room they were exposed in but maybe that was an old report and they are in hospital now (thats what it seemed to say when i scanned the cbc link i posted above)

Playing devils advocate i think you can all tell i am very anti terror but this latest incident was us in turkey not them in Canada. Doesn't justify it, particularly when part of job of the people under attacks is to help people in turkey and the region make refugee claims to Canada.

thats true but fact is it was still against canadians
normally were not the target of anything all off a sudden were getting hit like this... and this is just the beginning
canada isnt ready for this becasue we arent normally targets but really it makes us easy targets

Im not sure i buy that we are easy targets personally, Belgium and germans suffered the same attacks just now.

I think the nature of terrorism is that governments who pride themselves on maintaining there people freedoms will always be "easy" target to these type of attacks.
