I just want my legs to get stronger but not too worried how strong . All I care about is hitting two plate bench lol.

2 plates bench is a lonnnnnnnnng way ahead for me..
can't wait to hit 3 plates squat though. can easily do it through singles rn though

I'm at 185 for 5 reps, but I'm still not stalling.. Probably hit 205 before I stall then it'll be a struggle.

I got to 265x5 for squats but didn't like my form so dropped weight and working my way back up with better form

Couldn't even do legs today because I woke up with the worst middle back pain... I went to gym and tried to squat but once I got any decent weight on my back hurt so much when I pinched my shoulders together I couldn't stay up right

I love how big of a disconnect there is between common fitness mantra and real life.

Like, lifting weights is my hobby, but I'm sure as hell not going to risk injuring myself worse or even potentially injuring myself for a hobby. Definitely goes against the whole "lift through the pain" yadda yadda mantra that seems to polute the fitness industry.

Yeah seriously. Right when I couldn't finish 1 rep with just 185 I stopped. Went home. Not worth risking injury . I'm all about longevity. I'd rather take a few days off and be rested than fight through the pain and hurt myself even more possibly missing months.

Yea I think it was that ogur dude on YouTube or whatever his name is- the shorter stocky American Asian looking body builder dude..

He had a video lifting with his buddy and he snapped some chest muscle in the video and it wouldn't even function after. Needed surgery and now down and out for a while.

I'm doing insanity again because I love the endurance I get. But I'm trying to be sure to take a break when I feel any knee pain before I snap up an acl or something not fun
