Infinite geometric progression So 7.4b* [(1+(-0.05))^n]/1-(-0.05)

Where N -> Infinity

That ones not right tough or i would be done

So how many Pennies have remained in circulation over infinity years with 7.4B Input per period and 5% loss per period

It's stupid as shit imo te only question outta 10 i still cant figure

I think the answer was alot simpler than i thought

think it's just 7.4b/1-r(so 0.05) =148b

Never reaching but approaching 148 B as it approaches infinity

e/ sum site said ar^k= a-(ar^N)/1-r (ar^N) becomes effectively 0 as infinity is approached because R is between 0-1 and shrinking exponent.

So we are left with a-0/1-r
= 7.4/0.05=148

That's if you're starting with this year. She wants you to start with a previous year (like 2005) and go both backwards and forwards to 2014. The question is shit lol.

If 7.4 million is the end result of making 7.4 million in the year 2000, then there were no pennies at the end of the year 1999. Except you would assume they made 7.4 million in the year 1999 which means the net of 0 means they had negative 7.4 million. So going backwards is a pointless exercise.
