Not really. The ones who act like they know everything about the sport, sure - but there's nothing wrong with getting excited and cheering for the team in playoffs. That's how teams gain fans, by doing well. Some will go back to being casual fans and some will stay in that state of excitement that they had in playoffs.

I'm just saying, by labeling them negatively you're deterring them from continuing to follow the team. They aren't BW or fairweather until they STOP following them.

Well yeah, if they go back to not caring after their team is eliminated, then they are fair-weather fans. Everyone's gotta start somewhere, if they hooked during the playoffs, that's fine.

all wings fans that are under 25-ish are fairweather fans according to luler and aren't worthy of calling themselves fans ~.~

I'd like to see the quote where I said anything remotely close to this? lol

wings have done well for 20+ years, well enough to not "lose" their fanbase based on performance

What does that have to do with anything?

All I said is that a fan who only cares when their team is doing well is the definition of a fair-weather fan.

Nowhere did I say anything about Detroit fans lol

until they start to lose

they havent been irrelevant for 20+ years

by his logic, that makes every post-dead wings fan a fairweather fan

i dont think they will start losing to be honest
everyone doubting the wings they finished with like 3 points less than nucks that were in third thats just how tight the west was

Eventually at some point over the lifecycle of the sport, the wings will start losing. It's just the nature of the salary cap era that there will be cycles.
The point is, a lot of fans will give up on the team, and that makes them likely fairweather fans.
