Im considering to buy a Nike Fuelband to motivate me to go training... quite expensive, do this shit worth the 140$?

How is everyone doing with this?

I am happy to say I stuck to my new years resolutions and am doing well. Have lost 15 pounds since January, down from 215 to 200. I am 5"9 / 5"10 so I still have room to imrpove. Although I am a heavier set person, so I think I want to lose another 10 - 15 pounds at the most. Than in the long run go back up to 200 with lots of muscle.

Feeling great, looking better. Lots more energy and less of a desire to eat junk food.

I recently started going to the gym, now that my cardio is getting better (can now comfortably run ~5k at a decent pace without getting very gassed) I have decided to add working out at the gym into the mix.

My cardio was so bad I felt I needed to improve it. 3 months ago I tried to work out at the gym and was getting gassed just trying to do an upper body workout. That was a real wake up call.

I will keep going with this. Really finding it rewarding. Just wondering if I should take any protein powder now that I have starting using the Gym, or is it more of a gimmick?

I eat lots of high protein foods, but I wonder if it is enough.

/e thought I would make this post # 16k, as this is something I have been working on for awhile.

I'm in.

I am at like 24X pounds right now and my goal is to get to about 190-210ish and then start building up on muscle, etc.

Gonna be coming up with a strict, defined diet to follow this summer along with a more consistent work out regimen.

Okay, someone help me figure this out:


How come I'll lose fat or even muscle mass everywhere on my body, but my stomach (or torso in general, but mostly stomach) fat won't go away? :(


My diet is pretty good and I exercise a decent amount. When I'm exercising I lose weight very easily but it seems like my stomach won't go away. I don't really have a gut or anything but it seems like I'm really skinny everywhere except my stomach. :(

Run, keep up a good diet, and work the core at the end of workouts.

I guess I'll keep at it for 3-4 more months and see if there's a difference :\

It's weird though, I am actually going to have to start force myself to over-eat now (or maybe take some sort of gainer supplement). When I'm regularly exercising, I can't maintain a healthy weight.

Right now I'm 6'0 / 145 lbs and dropping, I've lost 5 pounds over the last month since I started working out again. I want to get to at least 170 but for the life of me I can't gain weight unless I pig out and stop exercising lol.

That's why I find it odd that I'm very skinny everywhere except my stomach lol. And I don't think it's a case of being bloated from under-eating, either. Again, it's not a nasty gut or anything but I assumed that at this low weight, it'd be closer to flat :(

I have been working out 4-5 times a week and eating well for 3 months. Not to lose fat but just be in shape and gain muscle. Already see a difference and feels good man.

I see zero gain. Been going like 3 days a week and haven't put on a single pound
I eat as much as I can for a student

Shit sucks yo

Although I am increasing weight but its just not showing
