It's a shame these aboriginal killings go unsolved, but would there be such an uproar over this particular case as a sparking issue if the victim wasn't a pretty, cute, teenage girl? When we see pictures of a early 20s woman with clear signs of drug and alcohol abuse, the public doesn't care. But when it's an attractive girl with cute, youthful features everybody cares.

I have to admit, I felt more angry at this then I have been at any other case in this issue. Only reason I can think of is because the girl is pretty and her youthful features make her look innocent.

To look more positively and not cynically, because this was a pretty, young girl who was murdered perhaps it will spark some change for the better.

Winnipeg has had a problem with Aboriginal women in particular getting murdered and their cases going unsolved, I wouldn't say it's because the most recent victim was a 5/10 teen.

Yes but why this case? That's my point. They have been plenty of Aboriginal women being murdered, across Canada, why did this case spark a national issue when the others, even when in the media spotlight fail to ignite any public uproar. Coincidences don't exist and my theory has historical precedence. Pretty teenage girl gets hurt/murdered, people listen. Drug using prostitute gets murdered, nobody cares. Obviously Winnipeg has a problem, but it's had a problem long before this girl got killed.

I really hate when people say this. Every single woman who has ever had her picture posted on the internet and commented on has had someone say they are not pretty. I guarantee you have called a significantly uglier girl in real life pretty.

because the cops fucked up she was reported missing and they stopped her with a traffic stopped and let her go then she was found dead
its not becasue shes pretty or anything like that its pointing out how fail the cops were and how it could have and should have been prevented

That happens all the time. The police never care. I guarantee if this case blows over and nothing comes of it, there will be another case where the police screwed up in the same topic, it reached the media, and no one cared. The fact people think this case is special in any way from any other one beyond who how remarkable the difference is when the victim is a person like her.

once again this article is pointing out the flaws and how this happens all the time this is just an example
this has literally nothing to do with the girl it has everything to do with whoever wrote the article trying to point out flaws with the police system they even say it
sure they chose a good example a 15 year old girl more people take that to heart over a 35 year old drug addict prosptitute becaue it could be their sister daughter ect ect
they dont care about her or how pretty she was its just a way to make more ppl relate to the story and have stronger reactions to it while they voice thier opinion on how shitty the cops are

Wasn't this girl brought to a hospital and then handed from the hospital to some child services agency after the cops pulled them over? From what I heard, she was seen by the right people after the cops. She just escaped cause that's what she wanted to do the whole time. She didn't eat help and ended up paying for it.

FML, my monitor is crapping out. Keeps turning off by itself if I have the brightness above 20% lawl... it works if I keep the brightness down but then the screen flickers and it's giving me a headache.

I tried to use my old TV as a monitor but my video card won't detect the TV using its HDMI port.

The Kansas City Royals made no trades at the non waiver deadline. The Oakland A's made two huge trades. Does @JoeyBats19 know about this?
