Got a SSD coming today. Interested to see if they really are that great. Mainly just pimping this computer out though

I just dropped an ssd and bigger HDD in my laptop. My laptop had an unused hard drive spot so I upgraded :)

The reboot speed is incredible.....incredible. itunes used to take ages to load. Now its a snap of a finger away.
I have everything on my computer on the ssd and I like it a lot. I also have an external TB backup. My laptop barely has anything on it and loads applications way way faster than hard drive. Worth it to me but were talking about seconds vs hundred or so dollars so I guess its preference. I'm a speed demon ;)

Yeah, my laptop has two bays too, but I went with storage over speed there. 2x1TB's. I never used a SSD before, but I think I'll fall in love. I got more than enough storage in the way of portable hard drives, and another 1TB in the pc. I ordered a 128gb SSD, so that should more than suffice for windows, music, games, etc.


Also, the version of windows buddy put on here just crapped out on me, so this is good timing lol

I have a 120 as well. I fit my entire computer on it. My HDD is 0/500 right now. Ssd isn't even half.... This won't apply to everyone lol. I just rebuilt my computer from scratch and am a minimalist at that.
No doubt, once you see the speed (do a side by side reboot or time your HDD reboot before and after just for mindblown.jpg) you won't prioritize space anymore :p. Plus, I've found I personally don't need the space. I'll probably never go back

20 year grad reunion tomorrow night. Hope i'm not the oly one that plans on getting fall down drunk and high as a kite.
