But I think it was technically the correct decision to make. I think the rule states that if a goalie loses his mask while the opponents have possession the play continues until the defending team gains control of the puck.
he took his mask off when vancouver had the puck behind their own blue line. even if thats the rule, allowing them to take a shot at a goaltender with no mask on is pretty bush league.
it was a solid 8+ seconds that he had no mask before that shot was taken and whistle blown.
