it sucks( RIP)
I did drive a boat while being....pretty fucking drunk, I couldn't go straight but I wasn't going any fast and wouldn't dive while drunk(drunk and swimming = drowing which is the reason I allway have my safety jacket on while I drink on a boat)
actually my Anchor got stuck, twice about a month ago while I was buttfuck in the wood and we were in a thunderstrom with huge wave and we were on a real small boat, I wouldn't have dived even tho the Anchor was only 6-7 feet deep, I'd cut the rope 100 times before diving, unless we're 2 going, even then...
Im not at all saying he didnt make a mistake, he dove in thinking he knew rhe waters too well for anything to go wrong, he swam drunk on a daily basis (thats what happens when your an alcoholic bermudian) and thought he was untouchable in the water and on his boat, we suspect there was a rock and he hit his head/lost consciousness underwater and that it was too dark to see what was under the surfaces, it was 1 in the morning, its foolish to pilot the reefs st that hour let alone dive.
He should have cut the line, he probably even had a spare anchor aboard, but alcohol impaired his decisions and it cost him his life.
He was a grumpy asshole but secretly one of the kindest men i ever knew, needless to say imm pretty fucked up over it. So many people you are secretly mentally preparing yourself to loose (my grandmother with alzhemiers for example) but when its an accident and someone young it really knocks you off your fucking feet.
He had just rented out his house for the next 2 years to sail the Caribbean and live on his boat. His mortgage was paid and his boat was paid, he was excited to retire to a life of sailing and chartering tours for grocery money.
Rest in peace

Im so atheist but shit like rhis makes me want to be wrong...
