Ill take a D4 with a RMAH anytime. Made a couple K USD off D3. Was nice. They ruined it with all the soulbound crap. Fondest memory of D3 was getting a trifecta ring and selling it for $250 usd lol.

Item name Glamour Zeal
Time of transaction 15 Aug 2012 12:39 AM PDT
Sale price $249.99
Transaction fee $1.00
Transfer fee $37.35
Applicable taxes $0.00
Your proceeds $211.64
Damn blizz with the cut eh. Surprised i still had the frigging email lol.

Back then I definetly had as many hours in the auction house as I did playing the game. It was way easier to just sit there and buy incorrectly priced items to flip then try to get ahead in game. It was fun I think, but if that’s the most effective way to play the game, something went wrong in development lol.

Lol nice

Just before the first nerf, there were amulets and rings that had 15ias and str or int in the vendors and there were unlimited amount for 8k gold each. Each would sell for around 100k gold instantly. That was around 200fg at the time. Literally 200fg from flipping vedor items over 5 seconds lol

This alone i made like 3.5k usd. Had mules of these rings and amulets and i held games open for days with vendors that had this item. It was retarded lol

Then they nerfed them and i was flipping items on the ah. Much slower paced

Nice! I couldn’t believe the amount of money people would drop on that game.

I don't know what to think about the AH in D3.

On one hand, it makes sense for Blizzard to cut out the middle man (JSP) to facilitate trades but it made getting exactly what you need a little too easy. I don't know what the middle ground there is.

The way it is now is even worse, not being able to trade anything. Sharing and trading items was a huge part of D2.

Now you can find a perfect rare item and if you find a 2nd one of the same type, it's completely worthless. That's not a rewarding experience whatsoever lol

meh I found it too basic, like what would trade even be for? trading for just minor upgrades used to farm the same shit over and over. shallow ass game

D2 was exactly the same... D2 did not have a complicated loot system.

Yeah but at least D2 had pvp, I can guarantee it wouldn't have survived so long without it (also jsp helped a ton). D2 is also pretty archaic and dated, a new game needs to evolve rather than stay basically the same with nicer graphics and a worse story

Maybe Diablo 4 will get it right

Hellblade on PS4 is a beaut. It’s like a Viking Silent Hill. It’s pretty short, but > god of war imho.

Starcraft 2 >

Not sure why it’s so addicting. But have logged 18,000+ games in the last 6 years

Yeah, that's why in my original post I said D3 would have been fine if it had Pvp and trading. :baby:

That said, I agree that 15 years later it needed to be innovative instead of just some improved graphics and QOL features.

Wow, #1 overall pick in next year's NBA draft might have just tore his ACL in a pretty meaningless game because of his shoe
