Really the best thing to do is simplify it.
You can make an entire meal out of a watermelon. No cooking skills required.
Have five bananas or a bunch of oranges and kiwis etc.
Simple- and no cooking ;)

I follow this dude "plant based athlete" and his breakfast is usually 10 oranges or some type of citrus.

yeah but id prob want something cooked for dinnner thats what id be interested in breakfast and lunch stuff seems a bit easier
and who is this dude "plant based athlete" if you dont want to mention the name im thinkin its a girl :P

1) not buying that statistic
2) zero of us are pro athletes and zero of us put our bodies through what they do on a long term basis

But that's not an argument I want to fight :p
I enjoy produce. So I'm gonna eat it. I encourage others to look in to it and see if their arthritis, soreness, headaches, anxiety, depression etc etc don't dissipate

Stealth, I'm not trying to piss on your parade (wait thats exactly what I'm going to do).

There is little to no evidence to suggest that eating a plant-based diet is any healthier than a fruit/vegetable rich omnivore style diet. One thing that eating plant style diets will do is severely reduce the amount of iron, certain fatty acids and protein your body gets. If it works for you great, but it doesn't work for everyone so preaching it like gospel is rather tiresome. If it was as great as they claim, they wouldn't need to preach like a bible thumper trying to sell me their religion - they would have cold hard facts where a vegan diet out performed a omnivore style diet.

Here's an interesting article for those who want to read more on the topic: http://authoritynutrition.com/top-11-biggest-lies-about-vegan-diets/

Now, like I was saying - if it works for you, great, the intent of my post isnt to discourage anyone from eating healthier even if that doesnt include meat. The point of my post is just to inform some of the less knowledgeable people here that the hype around veganism is for the most part non-scientifically proven and conjecture at best ("feeling better", "less tired", "Less aches and pains", etc). There are some flaws to a vegan based diet, so it's definitely worth reading about the subject and ensure you are getting enough minerals, vitamins and proteins that you cannot get from eating just f&v alone.

Yea I tend to agree as i dont follow anything like its the gospel ;)
I did say that you could probably reap all the benefits simply by eating more fruits and veggies and less processed crap bc that's really the problem.
But I do think that there is strong evidence that an abundance of animal protein create inflammation in the body not to mention the crap that Tyson and those guys pump in to it. The bigger issue is that things aren't as regulated and trustworthy as the lobbyists want you to believe.
I also said that I just enjoy that food and that's primarily why I eat like this for now ;)

So I covered my bases and you're not pissing on any parade

Good, I'm glad I didnt offend it wasnt my intent.

There are definitely flaws to all diets out there right now. One thing we can definitely agree on is less processed sugars/foods and more fruits / veggies is a good way to start if you're looking to improve your health.
