Anyone know much about cleanses? Starting a Wildrose cleanse this weekend. In a weight loss challenge this January. Never done a cleanse before. Not sure what to expect.

What does this cleanse entail?

Most 'cleanses' dont really cleanse your body, typically just increase your vegetable/fruit intake and reduce your calorie intake (thus you lose weight). The two I've done, I basically just shit liquid for the entire 2 weeks and lost a lot of weight, likely in water weight. They seem to claim that they somehow clean your colon, or lower intestines but I've never seen any supporting research that actually proves that.

Pretty much all you posted is all I know.

And just a general diet and colon cleanse.
There is a meal guyide to stick by, and they claim same thing. 10-15lbs possible in 12 days.

The wild rose cleanse is the one I’ll be doing. D-tox cleanse

Yeah exact one I've done.

I didnt enjoy it much, shitting liquid 6-8 times a day isnt much fun and you really crave a decent meal. I did end up losing like 10 lbs over the 12 days but the dietary restrictions made it pretty miserable for me. Plus I'd argue that a lot of that weight loss was water loss because of constant diarrhea (not exactly a healthy way to lose weight lol). Eating almost no sugar (even lots of natural sugars are limited, gotta watch you dont eat too much dried fruit and lots of 'high sugar' fruits arent allowed) and constantly craving food because it's really hard to get enough cals on such a restrictive diet.

those cleanse things are pure snake oil, shit your guts out for 2 weeks to lose 10lbs of water weight that youre going to gain back as soon as youre off the fad diet.

just eat clean and get some exercise instead
