If you think not respecting and remembering our veterans is only or mainly an immigrant thing you either live under a rock or you're racist/xenophobic and it's about as simple as that. Cherry being these things isn't news, and anyone arguing that he isn't is just kidding themselves. We've known what he is for decades and we've let it go.
