The Hall deal I could argue wasnt that bad because it addressed a need. Larson plays more of a game than Hall and therefore even if Hall puts up a ton of points there is still value to having an actual defender who can play 28+ min a game.
The Eberle deal was dealt from a position of weakness when a players value was the lowest. They basically ran him out of town for at best a potential 3rd liner. After 1 playoff run they decided Eberle was too small to make it in the playoffs and was going to be a ghost his entire career. Definitely jumped the gun and the fan pressure didnt help.
