So couple things from new GM

Can't be afraid to make trades, even if it's a big name player.
No time line on when he expects to be a serious playoff team but he hates missing playoffs.

Not sure what to say about the Chiarelli hiring...


Three major issues with Chiarelli:

1. The guy trades assets that the team desperately needs, 22 year old Kessel and 21 year old Seguin, both amazing scoring talents, what is Boston short on? Scoring.

2. Trade deadline, he always has the worst execution at the deadline and never lands the players the team is rumored to be going for.

3. Re-signing and signing RFA/UFAs, his contracts have been alright I guess but there's no good value contracts that he signed, all of the players basically got what they wanted. Kelly being a prime example. Iginla's contract fucked us out of Boychuk etc.


He has shown he can put together a playoff contender but has shown he can fuck a team just as bad.

FYI flames have to make conference finals for EDM to get the 15OA. Orider is cup finalists, then conference finalists, then regular season standings.
