The wire is the single best tv show I have ever seen, if you feel asleep you weren't paying enough attention to the details. 24 was crap and constant bs happening thats why it kept your attention. Fast paced but horrible. I prefer character development and thought out plot and great dialogue. The wire is the answer

i wouldnt say its the best show ever but its definitely very good

Only thing i would put it behind is band of brothers but thats a mini series
soprano's would probably come just behind it.

Drives me insane that I can be aiming at someones upper chest/head point blank and not land a single shot.

The bullet patterns are fucking i don't even.

shoot slower dont panic and spray, You will come to understand the bullet patterns,

1 shot headshot is the best way my friend

I know but you were implying that 24 was better than the wire which is why i attacked 24.

Breaking bad was good dont get me wrong but the wire was wirrten by david simon, an investigative journalist who also wrote the book homicide : a year in the killing streets and the subsequent show, homicide.

All the characters are shaped around people he met in the year he spent shadowing the homicide department in baltimore to write the book. That year there were like 350-370 murder or something, average was like 1 a day.

I like the wire because the characters are true and real as is the dialogue. Obviously it's just my opinion and you can think what ever you want, but it's an incredible show.

the thing is i don't spray.

I always control my fire rate but I lose every gun fight to people who hold down left mouse button.

Even when I'm aiming right at them the entire time.

Need a new tv show!

Watched:
Dexter
Breaking Bad
Walking Dead
Game of Thrones
HIMYM
Big Bang Theory
Prison Break
Lost

Favorites are BB and GoT. What is good right now?
Thinking about The Wire, House of Cards, Sons of Anarchy
What about Mad Men?

Thanks!
You can also tell me your all time favorite movie!

Right now I'm watching Boardwalk Empire and I love it. IMO the "style" is similar to GOT.

Sons of Anarchy is a B grade show. Usually a third of each season is great and the rest is meh. Still a good watch, though.

I will definitely need to watch The Wire sometime in the future, too. Homeland, as well.

Mad Men is very character driven if you're into that, very little plot. I watched the first season then bailed

Mad Men is the only show I think I've ever given up on, didn't last many episodes. I try to give every show a try, but the lack of storyline didn't do it for me.
