You have to fill that negative space on the sides.
Raising your TV would help fill the space above somewhat.
You need a bookshelf or a cabinet or something though. There's so much wall it's going to look awkward regardless.

A nice B&W print like that would help though since it fits your theme of all black things.
Mounted shelving would help fill negative space on the side too in lieu of a bookshelf/cabinet.

Yep. I'm figuring on a bookcase on the left side to cover the outlets and bring some height. Right now my books are in my buffet, lol
