A small group of those with special interests would have made a killing but the average Joe would be saddled with more taxes and debt.
It absolutely disgusts me how much money is being lost just on debt repayment, at federal, provincial, and local levels.
This is a step in the right direction. Those petitioning with such vigor in favor had already envisioned lining their pockets with all that taxpayer money.
Throw in how corrupt the Olympics have become just makes it an even bigger win.
Let someone else take on this burden.
