For cardio/running shoes, go to a store. I dunno if you have Pacers in Canada, but it's devoted to running. They have treadmills there and will film the way your foot hits the ground with a high-speed camera so they can give you the best suggestion - for free. Whether you land on the inside of your foot, outside of your foot, more towards the heel or the toe really affects your comfort in your shoes.
My brother's running his first full Iron Man race in September so I hear all about this shit all the time.
jeesus. sounds like that store knows what theyre doing.
we have a 'running room' store. havnt been in.
atm I'm just rocking asics. do both in them....meh.
once I'm more involved and don't look so green at the gym il have to step my game up.

I got cross trainers , they're flat soles but light as fuck ... So I just wear those for both.
But ideally Nike ramaleos for lifting and whatever running shoe for running
before I bought my asics I was scoping out a nice pair of nike 5.0s....but they didn't have my size.
