Alright. I feel stupid for not thinking to ask this before but I've always weighed meat before cooking. But as it cooks it loses juices and water. So when I'm portioning out 6oz of chicken, should I weigh it before cooking or after?
The googles are not giving me a consistent answer, it feels to me now that I think about it that 6oz of chicken should be weighed after, because otherwise you're weighing chicken, water, and juices. I think I've been doing it wrong for months

But at the same time if I guess wrong, then I've got chicken - possibly a TINY amount - that I'd be tossing in a baggie for later.
