probably move one to wing or one would be traded right
and while they are good players in playoff match ups having a tougher guy like dubois could pay off smaller guys can get worn down or even hurt matching up vs bigger tougher centers
its an issue giroux had and why they moved him to wing hes a great player but some match ups were tough for him hes a smaller guy and sometimes u get a big dude thats too much to handle

i dont blame cbj for asking a lot but one of those+mete+1st... thats nutty that seems like an offer you would table for laine not dubois

They should do it for Caulfield,

No point wasting petry/Weber's production to wait for kk+Caulfield to be more established. Mete is easily replaced by romanov. Caulfield can score goals, but hes 5'7 and 160lbs, players like mete can crush him

i wouldnt trade caufield tbh, we dont have any "pure" sniper in our team and hes our #1 prospect. Dubois improve our center position
but i personally think that with our cap situation, the next contracts for all our young players and the fact that we are loaded in centers currently
isnt a wise decision to pay the price for dubois.

In montreal we didnt have a prospect like this in over 20 years and even 30 years. I still dont want us to trade our 1st and 2nd round picks this year to stack up even more our prospect bank for the future of our team

we fucked up on the sergachev trade (drouin is doing fine this year tbh) and we fucked up on the mcdonagh trade
dubois aint the same as drouin thats for sure but trading away kk (hes going to be a 50-60 points per season center), mete (a mobile dman that can get 15-20 points per year) and caufield (if he lives up to his potential he will be a 30-40 goal scorer who will be the go to guy on the powerplay) i dont wanna do this trade at all

i said that in the habs reddit but doing the dubois trade with kk + mete and caufield is like doing the pacioretty trade in reverse, in a few years clb will laugh at us for giving them 2 of their top 6 guys and a 3rd pairing dman

i was kinda hoping the flyers signed him since he wanted to come and play here
woulda been a cheap depth guy and i think he woulda gave his all wanting to play here but we already got a lot of depth so nope
