You also can't forget Yakupovs "I want to be a superstar center of attention" mentality. How is that going to work for Yakupov when McDavid comes in and Yakupov will never measure up to him or be in the spotlight.

That may have been his mentality at draft but he hasn't acted like that in years. Bad seasons seem to have humbled him.

Oh wow, I didn't realize Chiarelli is GM also. Thought he was just POHO with MacT staying. That's gonna be interesting.

What is MacTs position exactly? What does MacT have authority on? Since Chiarelli is now the GM

MacT is only responsible for reminiscing about "the old times" and telling people about how he was the last guy in the NHL to not wear a bucket.

As far as I understood they didnt exactly say what MacT's role was in the future. Basically just named Chiarelli the GM/POHO. If he sticks around he'll likely just become the A-GM

Just googled and apparently Mactavish is still with the Oilers, nobody is quite sure in what capacity.
