I didnt understand where all the chatter came from, that makes sense. I dont think theres any chance the Flames deal Hamilton unless it's part of a package that gets them a top flight dman back

Yep makes no sense... just Toronto media creating a story. And those proposals, nty for jvr, and I wouldn't even accept Nylander. Young stud D is worth so much more.

As someone said on that blog, the only guy we would trade Dougie for is Dougie.

Dougie is fairly mediocre but there are trade talks outside of Toronto for him, a team in the East is all I know

"Completely false" is the quote from the gm today.

Dougie is above average imo, but even if he isn't, a solid top 3/4 young dman is worth his weight in gold right now. Just look at what the loloilers had to pay for a very mediocore young dman.

Hartley got fired partly because he was giving Dougie 15 mins a night on the bottom pairing, and zero pp time. This year he's paired with Gio on the top pair and getting pp time, and looking a lot better when used properly.

Burke just said the price for Dougie is "20 first round picks" B)

Oilers acquire Dougie Hamilton, oilers give up 20 1st rounders for the next 20 years.
