Today's game felt like AV was back coaching. Canucks showed no effort, passion, work-ethic, etc. Just let San Jose take it to them.

We had like 2 grade A scoring chances all game and although we didn't give up too many, Sharks carried the play pretty much all game.

It wasn't Luongo's fault but IMO he needs to do more in games when the skaters don't show up to keep us in it.




Bieksa and Kesler have been terrible and Higgins really needs to start burying some of his chances.

The good thing is we get Kassian back for next game which pushes Weber out and Weise back down to the 4th line.

Hoping for:

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
Higgins - Kesler - Hansen
Booth - Richardson - Santorelli
Sestito - Dalpe - Weise


Really need Schroeder back too.

A few thoughts on the game in Philly:

- Torts splitting the Sedins worked like magic again. I think that was the first time Henrik has played right-wing in his NHL career lol

- Higgins finally rewarded for his hard work, Hansen awesome as usual and Kesler has his best game of the young season by far

- Garrison beast defensively, Tanev as well except for one mistake in the first period

- Hamhuis a few more bonehead plays but made a very nice pass on the game-winner

- I thought Schroeder and Kassian looked good out there, but Kassian and Booth on the same line just doesn't work

A few notes on the game in Buffalo:

- Bieksa had a good game, perhaps his first one of the season

- Kassian looked great out there but nothing on the stat sheet as of yet

- Happy for Stanton as he got his first career goal. He's been a stud for us as the #6

- Kesler had another strong outing (except for Vanek's non-goal lol)

- Sedins had Kesler on their wing for most of the game with Santorelli centering Higgins and Hansen on the 2nd line. I believe they will start like this tomorrow but I can't see it being a long-term thing

*Hard to tell what kind of team we are right now, or how we match up vs. top teams in the league... I guess it's too early at the moment. Only troubling thing is that all our wins have come against bad teams and the losses against good teams (and 3 of those 5 games were close games lol).

theres a lot more bad teams in the league than good teams, so as long as ur winning against the bad then thats good imo. its when u lose the games that u should be winning when u need to be concerned generaly imo lol. playoffs is a privilege in the NHL these days.
