Toronto’s government is too big.

To me its more about trying to change ir during election but to give comparison a comparison i found this tweet that i didnt fact check

https://mobile.twitter.com/g_meslin/status/1039933527838674946

We need MPP's to focus on small enough areas that they care about the local issues.

My mum and neighbour had to rally our local MPP to prevwnt the city from selling a park to developers, she was successful and now we have a park and they are putting more money into improving it.

When you decrease the reps you double the ward size and we lose importance to the MPPs it gets hard to get local issues taken care of, we should have representation proportional to other municipalities

E/ but i cant lie this is not somethig ive spent alot of time on so i havent looked at the other canadian cities stats myself ive just been eating up what people tell me lol

First way to balance a budget is to cut overhead. The over abundance of MPs that represent Toronto is that overhead.

Doesn't surprise me that suppressing democracy isn’t offensive to you. Doubling the amount of people to 100k+ represented by one councillor.

And vice versa. Being a socialist yourself it’s no wonder you have no problem with big government.

the most socialist governments are the smallest

ie: DPRK

less representation DOES NOT equal more freedom, it just means your vote means less

besides, do you honestly think cutting a few $150k salaries will somehow transform the way people live? No.

Toronto is the 7th most livable city in the entire world. L.A. is not.

Also Americans pay more in taxes every year than Canadians do. With 'less government'.

Straight up and down, it IS a ridiculous amount of people who cant seem to come together and move forward with many major infrastructure developments which has been and now more than ever causing absolute chaos.

Takes me an hour to travel 12kms right now.

If cutting the mps gets things moving so i can believe in a livable future in Toronto... Ill support it.

Every week i think about moving out of this shit hole.
