better to have a budget than just ask how much
it's like building a computer, there are multiple parts and variations as to how it's put together. Generally based on budget and what fits into your car without custom work.
what head unit do you have? the one that sticks out of the top of the dash? if so I would say it's likely a custom head unit upgrade
speakers are easier, however you may need to modify the baskets or brackets they mount in as aftermarket speakers are typically bigger
there is no easy 1 size fits all 'starter system' but with a little effort you can get set up
if you hand your car to an installation shop be prepared to pay more in labour than what you pay for parts, audio is cheap now but labour isn't
Need to know how much to aim for for the installation fee, then I can kind of decide how much money I can spend on the speakers

What you feel is missing currently? Bass?
Not loud enough first and foremost, but yeah of course more bass. I can only put the bass up one level on my stock system, anything more and the sound becomes way too unclear.
So pretty much everything... volume, bass and clarity lol.
