Yea you're right. According to the Selke Trophy voters he's top 3. But he's really the #1 and arguably the most important player to his team, best player overall in the league in my eyes. It's not all about points. The guy just does the things that lead to wins.

Really? Seems really high to me. Don't get me wrong, he's definitely worth it. but...

its bit high, i agree. doesn't produce like the star centers but he's good. depends how cheap they can get krejci though. if they can spend less on krejci its fine


and yes, crosbys defense is increadibly underrated, he's no toews/bergeron but he also produces 40-60 points more lol

I don't underestimate him. I think he's a great player..just not the all around player everyone makes him out to be. He's not a leader, lacks the mental fortitude for that. He's obviously the most skilled player in the league but I just don't think he has the intangibles of a Bergeron, Datsyuk or Toews. If Bergeron scored more points he would be top 3 in the league to most people like he is to me right now.

The guy makes all the little plays that go unnoticed. He's not flashy but he gets the job done as well as anyone. To me he's the #1 player in the league. That's just me though. I don't put as much into points as the NHl or most fans. It's a very overrated stat. Obviously points win games, but much more goes into winning games than just the points.
