Cause Mason was sick yesterday. They had a WHLer as backup. Medvedev helps because he can move the puck, but he's no more than a 4th dman on a team.

Hell, just to give you an idea, we traded Coburn last year, arguably our #1-#2 dman, to Tampa. On Tampa he is a low #6-#7 in TOI. We're left with borderline #2 dmen in Streit and MDZ then all #5-6 with the rest of our D.

Started the year strong but now it's catching us that we have a mediocre D. I'd call St-Louis, see if we can make a deal around Shattenkirk now that Parayko looks to be legit. Something like Simmonds + Hagg maybe

we just need to suck it up and wait out the young guys getting a top pairing d man wont do much for us specially if we trade simmonds
id rather see schenns+laughton+picks moved for a top d man vs a guy like simmonds let alone hagg with him
besides we prob wouldnt be able to afford a top pairing d man atm unless we dumped salary

Schenns Laughton wont get a dman. And you dont trade picks. You try to get more. Simmonds has good value and I would 100% move him for a good dman. We need someone like Shattenkirk even with 4 to 7 good d prospects. Relieve the pressure off the kid, let them grow, and have your anchor already. Do you expect Sanheim, Morin, Provorov and Ghost to come in at the same time? If yes, it won't happen, and if it happens they will look bad. If no, then if we dont get better at D right now we will be bad for another 2-3 years waiting for them to develop.

Wtf even is this? What am I suppose to be looking at.
