It needs to be 8k difference for that 2.5 to be legitimate body fat loss, there are so many potential reasons why you're seeing a big drop right away - hell, it may just be that you're eating less food so when you weigh yourself you don't have as much in your stomach.
You've probably dropped something like a pound in four days, that's much more reasonable and still a great accomplishment. Again though, the mindset and really committing is more important than counting numbers. 2.5 in 4 days is unhealthy.

Sounds jelly.
All depends in my starting weight too. Which you've never asked and I've never stated
If im some 200lb dude it would be unhealthy. If I'm some 300lb dude its legit.

Like you call it unhealthy. Yet I've never eaten this healthy or this much in my life. I've also never been this dedicated to the gym these last 4 days. 45 min in treadmill and leg day yesterday...needless to say I'm feeling it today.

My metabolism is so fucked that I'll lose a couple pounds just sleeping if I don't eat prior to bed

It's nothing to do with jealousy, it's basic anatomical science. You need to eat at a certain deficit to lose body fat, and 2.5 lbs in 4 days is close to starving yourself, anatomically, scientifically, logically.
Most 300lb dudes have a lot of fried chicken sitting in their stomachs that aren't technically bodyfat but add numbers to the scale.

Yeah, bodyweight matters, but I'm 200 and could do that by eating a salad a day and nothing else. A 300 lb guy could do it with two salads a day and nothing else.

I'm saying you're doing well but that just cannot be your expectation :P Gonna get discouraged if it is, and no one wants that.

I'm eating 4 salads a day. And yes I agree wit ya. Was told by dude who's training me that in the first few weeks il drop alotta weight quick. And then il plateau etc. Just have to trick the body then he says.
He also said what you did in I shouldn't weigh myself for awhile. But I figured why the hell not yesterday and was pleseantly surprised at the result.

:P well if it encourages you go with it, even if it's not 2.5 lbs of pure bodyfat loss it's still less that you're carrying with you, and that leads to an end result too.

I hit 260 in my sophomore year and got super discouraged when I plateaued at 240, led to some really bad lifestyle choices to lose the rest and I still struggle with those choices sometimes. So I'm a bit sensitive to people setting crazy expectations :P Bulemia does wonders for the number on the scale but fucks you up every other which way. 10 lbs a month is a pretty optimistic goal for anyone, so hearing 2.5 in 4 days without the caveat that it's normal fluctuation is a bit of a red flag for me lol. I'm just saying the number on the scale isn't the important part.

Ahh. Makes sense. Well I'm a big boy tipping in. And when I feel more comfortable il post pictures and numbers of my loss ;-)
I'm doing a 2 month challange at work. Was 100$ buy in and hoping for 20-30 in 2 months. Trainer says 30 isn't unrealistic if I have no cheat days and follow his meal plan to a tee.
Going to be a long journey to get where I want to be. Buy I have the motivation.....currently.....to get there.

Sweet, the motivation is the big part. When I did my first deadlift I got committed, that shit makes you feel manly as fuck. Even swallowed my pride and took advice from things Dirty said to other people
Don't tell him that though, wouldn't want to hurt my reputation of being arrogant and thinking I know everything all the time.

Motivation is great to begin with but you gotta make it a habit if you keep it up for these 2 months you'll feel like shit when you miss the gym.

Dx is right in regards to your loss so far being a majority of water weight but you are a bigger guy so you can expect to lose more than a lb a week of fat like smaller guys do.
