Luongo bad last night. Typical play from him though... make a few grade A saves but also let in a few stinkers. Hard to see it ever changing.






At this rate, Shinkaruk might be able to crack the roster, adding some offensive skill that we desperately need. They should give him that 9 game try-out; put him on the 2nd line and see if he can stick while Booth shakes off rust on the 4th line. If he's NHL ready, perfect. If not, send him down before we burn a year of his contract and shift Booth up.

I'd also rather have Gaunce on the 4th line instead of Sestito or Weise but I doubt that happens. He along with Horvat will likely be sent down midway through the preseason.

I can't see Gaunce or Shinkaruk making the team this year. Shinkaruk will get 9 games im sure, but I'm not sure about Gaunce. He's got a couple goals that just aren't that impressive.
