Not a rumor but ... Gillis on Kesler last night.

The two-way center can apparently be had for the following:

A 20 to 25-year-old established NHL center
A top-end prospect (preferably a forward)
A first-round pick

man gillis is fuckin delusional when he values his players... thats the reason you guys are still stuck with luongo and in the same situation you were before with lack
depenidng on the prospects potential i guess but i doubt anybody owlud pay that... maybe if its a high finishing team with a late pick+ mid tier prospect+the 20-25 center
prob fetch the mid aged guy+good prospect+ 2nd or 3rd rounders but player prospect ad 1st? sheesh

and outside of them we dont really have any top tier prospects...maybe leir he had decent stats in the ohl he even made team canada WJC lol and stolarz but nucks got enough goalies as is
idk if id wanna get rid of read id rather keep read and ship out downie+ more picks or something downie takes too many dumb calls and nucks need some toughness

realistically if we did trade for kesler it would prob be laughton/couts/schenn+leir+1st if we meet the demands
which i would rather not do haha that would big a big chunk out of our future and at this point schenns starting to break out and couts this year seems like hes gettin there too we dont need another C
he can play wing but id much rather get a natural winger like moulson or something instead and prob cost us a lot less


in all honestly tho id rather see homer make some moves and get a fairly fast defensive d man for the 2nd pairing with streit ...grossmans not bad but vs the faster teams he has some issues
i could live with a grossman-schenn 3rd pairing as slow as it would be they block shots n shit good for pk and use the top 2 pairs for most of the 5 on 5 and pp

Flyers want both kesler and edler.

IIRC Kesler had to supply a short list of teams he'd be willing to be traded to. Who knows if the Flyers are on there...

Meanwhile Shero said he'd best any offers the Canucks get on Kesler

Flyers don't need another center. They got no reason to be in on Kesler. Holmgren better back the fuck away from this deal

Which means we're fucked. Shero will make a steal of a trade and we'll get the short end of the stick.
