A police officer phoned a charity to ask whether it was “culturally acceptable” for an Iraqi paedophile to have a 12-year-old girlfriend.

The detective had arrested the 26-year-old man but wanted to be “culturally sensitive” after the suspect said the relationship was acceptable in his community. Karma Nirvana, the charity that took the call, told the officer to deal with the man as he would any other suspected child abuser.

The charity, which works with victims of forced marriage, said that the case showed the danger of officers whose professional judgment was clouded by fear of being called racist.

really considering checking that out seems like it could work out pretty good

I use their internet-80 and love it. I should be getting 80 Mpbs download and every test I've ever down has been 85+ with <10 ping and 20+ upload. Never had any issue with slow downs that you hear about with cable (that may be a thing of the past?).

The TV I'm not as thrilled with, but just internet it's the best out of the major ISPs here.

imma have to call and see specially if its fiber if its cable im SOL cuz a moving truck ripped off the cable cord from my house and all the cable companies want to charge to hook it back up to provide their service.. f that
its 30 down i know bell fiber starts at 25down so im hoping its fiber since i got fiber lines right now im using so if they can use those lines and set me up with fiber net im good to go
