every time anderson played a full year as a starter, his save % have been high .910s. actually, they've been .914 and .917. I see no raeson for Anderson to be considered an elit starter since he have never had good stats being a starter for a full season

With forwards playing defense those are great stats.

yes, but he had .941 this year and they expect him to repeat it. he've never been very good in a full season. i'm not sold on him

i never said anything about anderson being elite hes a good goalie that can be a #1 he makes the saves and makes some pretty big saves
hes a good goalie that was pretty streaky on the avs the sens seem to have gotten him more consistent which is only a bonus for them
but like i said lehner looked pretty solid if anderson flops i dont think they will hesitate to go with lehner ... hes prob their future goalie anyways

you can lose even if you're the better team

was the '06(?) canes better than every othe team? was '96 panthers?  every other team that was riding a hot goaltender? was the leafs the 4th best team in the NHL last year after detroit, chicago and boston because they brought boston to game7?

you can't base everything from one playoff series or run. senators got swept (? or was it 4-1) the next series anyway, so its not like they won the stanley cup

they were better that year, yes.

yep, but if you look at andersons rebound control, its' horrible. his defensemen now that karlsson was gone stepped up and boxed out everyone and cleared the rebound. with karlsson playing big minutes his #s will fall severly and he won't be able to carry them like this year

habs>sens

if u honestly believe that '96 panthers was better than '96 pens, flyers and bruins, you need to reconsider your actual knowledge of hockey

raw talent on a team doesn't make them instantly better than any other team, otherwise the wings or penguins would win every year. Playoff hockey is all that matters, regular season is just preparation for it. If you compare the two team in the last 10 years ottawa is by far the superior team, if you go year to year they were the better team last season. So what are you trying to compare to way different teams in 96 to teams in 2013.

no, what i'm trying to explain is how a hot goaltender and a well coached team can beat most team if they're hot. sens coach is one of the best in the league and running with a hot anderson and a tight D, they managed to beat the habs. it's unfair to say a team is better than the other because of one playoff series. that's like saying leafs was better than every other ECF team last year because they brought bruins to game7. leafs = the best canadian team then? if you want to go by playoff series and performance in them as a general distinction of how good a team is. then, leafs>sens>habs.

why only 10 years? take 20 years. habs have won the cup more years than sens have been in the league

Why do you defend the Habs so much?

They are just an OK team. Sens + Nucks > Habs easily. Leafs can be argued as better than Habs as of now too.
