Not really though. Enbridge just laid off another 370 last week, and more cuts coming from the other big guys. Unemployment near 10%.

Traffic in Calgary for the morning comute is noticeably better though :ph34r:

I worked as a technician/shop manager for an oilfield services company. Basically repaired/maintained computer equipment that monitors drilling parameters.

Yes I got laid off in March, took the most of the summer off to travel and enjoy some time away from work.

Oil n gas is hit or miss. Next big boom will be in solar.
