Did the Sharks really lose 2-1 to the Senators in Overtime? That's crazy.
When I looked at all the Saturday games at 5 a.m. this morning that's the one I would've bet on.
It would've been a whopping 10 losses in a row for me if I had anything to spare. Bad Sharks!
I'm watching the highlights on YouTube: The Sharks had several amazing scoring chances hit the post. Wide open net on one after the goalie slipped and fell down. But the guy couldn't poke it in. Instead he hit the post! Jeez. And the only Sharks goal it looks like Evander Kane picked at it mid air and deflected & guided the puck into the net. Like a game of Lacrosse.
Just watching the highlights it seems like the Sharks should've scored 5 or 6 goals.
That's the frustrating thing about hockey. You can pick the team you're almost certain will win and they still lose.
Hockey is the toughest sport to bet on imo.
I am a long time hockey fan who is quite knowledgeable of all the teams and I rarely bet... You really can't predict who will win, especially in the cap era.
There is so much parity in the league that a bottom feeder can beat a top tier team. It happens all the time.
Towards the end of the year you have even more variables. Top seeded teams may not have the effort level to match bitter teams who have been eliminated from the playoffs, so you can't just gauge the teams record and bet from there either.
