Hoping Edmonton grinds the Jackets down for the rest of this game.

Butter them up for us please. We need the win tomorrow.

Did the Sharks really lose 2-1 to the Senators in Overtime? That's crazy.

When I looked at all the Saturday games at 5 a.m. this morning that's the one I would've bet on.
It would've been a whopping 10 losses in a row for me if I had anything to spare. Bad Sharks!

I'm watching the highlights on YouTube: The Sharks had several amazing scoring chances hit the post. Wide open net on one after the goalie slipped and fell down. But the guy couldn't poke it in. Instead he hit the post! Jeez. And the only Sharks goal it looks like Evander Kane picked at it mid air and deflected & guided the puck into the net. Like a game of Lacrosse.

Just watching the highlights it seems like the Sharks should've scored 5 or 6 goals.

That's the frustrating thing about hockey. You can pick the team you're almost certain will win and they still lose.

Both teams where basicly tied in points , toss up between two of the lottery teams.

Sharks were at home though. At -155 I'd expect a sure victory. Maybe -155 ain't the same in the NHL like it is in the NBA. Watching the highlights the Sharks appeared to be the better team they just couldn't convert some great scoring chances.

I also noticed the Philadelphia Flyers were heavily favored at -210 or so against the Sabres.
So the Flyers won 3-1 as expected. I'm almost certain the Flyers lose if I had bet on them!
This is what is so maddening to me when it comes to NHL betting. I jinx whatever I'm liking.

this Oilers Jackets matchup is legit one of the worst NHL games I've ever watched.

Hockey is the toughest sport to bet on imo.

I am a long time hockey fan who is quite knowledgeable of all the teams and I rarely bet... You really can't predict who will win, especially in the cap era.

There is so much parity in the league that a bottom feeder can beat a top tier team. It happens all the time.

Towards the end of the year you have even more variables. Top seeded teams may not have the effort level to match bitter teams who have been eliminated from the playoffs, so you can't just gauge the teams record and bet from there either.

100% ive been watching and playing hockey since i was 4 (so 23 years) and i get wrecked every day in betting lol, so much so that i try to only bet a few days out of the week. Towards the end of the year, like where we are now is always the hardest time to bet. Playoffs and the beginning of the year are a bit easier to predict but as it goes on it definitely gets harder. ^Madmartigan

Hey man, we cant all afford to be time travelers... This problem could be solved if we were already time travelers though, are you seeing the problem here?
