It's just bizarre to me to put a ban on people. There are states where it's currently legal and it seems like the entire country is moving toward legalization or decriminalization at least. To make a policy that's going to ban a fair number of the citizens of your closest trading partners and allies is just weird. So short sighted.

it wont last, FDA just approved a CBD based drug which could be the catalyst to force re-scheduling.

US federal rescheduling and state wide medical is going to happen within 2 years, US wide approval of med and rec in 5-10, though i suspect states will still be allowed to decided for themselves on rec

Ya it sucks. Almost got a travel ban back in...2014? When I tried to fly from Edmonton to Vegas.
Guy at the check in said my eyes looked red and asked why. Then pulled me into ya customs side and they searched all my shit. Obviously never brought anything with me. They tried saying my clothes smell like it. Asked if I smoke. I didn’t know any better and said ya but not today.
Then I got told they’ll have to ask permission before letting me in. Crazy
