Coyotes just lost 3-2 at Calgary. This would be funny if I weren't getting the short end time after time.

Nine (yes, 9!) NHL bets lost in a row. 7 of them were 3-2 scores. The other two were 5-3 and 2-1 in overtime. And six of the nine games my team was favored to win. Including a pair of -195 and -190 games: Capitals at Devils and the Penguins at Ducks.

I'm done betting on hockey. I had fun though. I enjoyed watching all the games. It makes me crave an NHL team in Houston one day.

hockey is one of the hardest sports to bet on imo
ven if a team is like 40-20-5 vs a 20-40-5 team its not guranteed maybe the 40 win teams on the 2nd day of a back to back with a back up playing
maybe the team with 20 wins is really fast and the 40 win team isnt super good defending vs fast teams and get lit up

there is a lot more factors to counter and it really takes knowing a lot about every team (or luck)to bet on hockey and win consistently

especially in the new salary cap era i used to be able to do parlays and win like crazy now i got 2/3 sooooo often its so hard to pick 3+ winning teams in a night there is almost always a fav or two that loses on a nightly basis

When do the 2020 NHL Playoffs begin? I may want to bet on hockey again when that starts up.
It doesn't look like the Houston-Arizona Coyotes will make it though. All that young talent they have.

I'm telling you that Coyotes team is special and filled with youth and talent but they're a year or two away.
If they do end up relocating to Houston that's going to be a lot of fun to watch. They'll be an exciting contender.

That kid Clayton Keller can fly around the ice like a gazelle. So much skill and speed. If he can just take the next step! More consistency.

Right now as a passionate Houston sports fan I'm hurting in a lot of ways. The Astros let me down with their dishonesty and cheating. The Texans always choke and the Rockets always break my heart. So all I really have are the Houston Cougars (NCAA Basketball) and Houston Roughnecks (XFL).

An NHL team would be a welcomed addition for the city of Houston sometime in the next couple of years. If it happens.

after 20 years of gary bettman trying as much as he can
to make the arizona coyotes a team that sells out arena and it dosent work.
Would be a better idea for them to just do like they did with the thrashers and move them to another city
houston/quebec/wisconsin could be 3 markets that would work for an nhl team

I will be cheering for the Kings and Stars tonight.

Sucks the Canucks got themselves into a bad rut at the worst time. Now they do not fully control their own destiny.

I think the biggest problem is the state of Arizona has hemorrhaged so much money on this team over the years that they won't be able to let them go.

It has been bitterly debated for decades and has caused lots of divide and tension within the city and state.

As of last reporting the team is ~ 300 million in debt. This is a team that frequently loses 20-30 million a season, much of which is tied to taxpayers - not just private ownership groups.

I don't think the city of Glendale, nor the state wants to take a loss that big and just give up on it, even though they probably should.

idk what gary has been saying to convince them to keep funding the team
but hes a speech expert in this department

and yes you are right on this, its not for nothing each owner sell the team within 5 years, theres nothing to do with this team to make it sell out arena
even with a stacked up line up, it still struggle selling tickets. the only time they sold out arenas was during the playoffs and it wasnt their fan buying out the arena lol

quebec would be a perfect fit with a recently built arena, houston would fit just right too and wisconsin would have a natural rivalry with minnesota

I agree. In that sense you have to give him credit. It was a poor business decision to bring a team there in the beginning but he is pulling out all the stops to keep them there.

If you are not a die hard you won't be going to the games. I heard it is a near two hour drive to the arena from Phoenix and public transit is not adequate. Who would want to go to a game under these conditions?

Most cities you just take a train and don't have to worry about parking. It's easy.
