Russel is probably just home for the Summer and is friends with Gio/Brodie. I dont think the Flames want Russel back because they want the ability to bring up a guy like Sielof, Kulak or Wotherspoon. Maybe cycle guys out throughout the season.

I think we can all agree that Russel is a little bit overrated defensively, and I'm not trying to critisize him I'm a big fan but certainly a guy the Flames fans have big time homer goggles on.

Yep, I can't see it happening even though he apparently wants to come back. Rumour is he wants a 5m 1year contract now. We can't afford that obviously. Oilers most likely.
