Is it possible to develop legs at the same rate as upper body/core without doing squats?
I am terrified of doing squats with much weight because I fear I will fuck up and blow my knees out.
I jog, squat without weights or little weight, do hamstring curls at gym etc but I am not noticing progress on the same level as I have had with my upper body, at least from an aesthetic point of view. When I work out my legs they are sore for 2 days after usually, but I am not noticing any gains, at least from an aesthetic point of view.
Also is there a particular exercize that can shred lower legs, or is this just a challenging area, as I have heard many people say.
If I keep going working out I do not want to look like the douche idiots at the beach with massive upper bodies and pinner legs.
Can I avoid squats with heavy weights? Or is it inevitable that I overcome my fear. I want to be properly proportioned.
you have to overcome your fear.
squat is the most beneficial exercise there is. your fear is irrationnal. your knees won't snap while doing squat except if you're some professionnal athlete that lift 800+ pounds
