I don't agree with the conclusion that immigrants have a clear disregard for this countries traditions and values and despite you consistently asserting that i do, i do not live under a rock.
I have seen no evidence, statistical or anecdotal to support that conclusion.

I am still confused as to what that has to do with business opportunities in this country...

For the last time. Unless you are native canadian you are an immigrant though generational migration. Seems like 90% of us arent native to this land. And theres a growing disconnect between canadian traditions and values whether you admit it or not. Just happens to be that the current new comers have an even stronger disconnect due to their religious practices. The disconnect exists. Unfortunately. Not all these people or formerly recent new comers have a disregard for our culture.. but truthfully they do account for a large portion which also includes multi generation whites black west indi hindi italians irish Scottish ect...

Anyone who has a distinct disregard for our history/ traditions/ values are only here for a self serving purpose to only benefit. Thats not our cultural way.

And you guys are so pc why do you hold the imortance of immigrants over our natives?

Why is a sports broadcaster held ro a higher standard than our fkn prime minister.

Joke country.

haha, just never been a fan of him

Haha I knew it, I’m not either really. He’s pretty boring imo, they had a good thing back in the 80’s/90’s , no way I missed a segment back then. Tune into the intermission then shut it off till the late game.
He should stick to small town arena stuff and cherry should have retired gracefully 10 years ago. I haven’t turned on a non oilers cbc game since strombopolis, the whole program is poor imo. Nick Kypreos has been the only guy I’ve enjoyed listening to in all those years.

/e Gary Betman isn’t a fan of a Canadian program that had / has a ritualistic following he could never force Americans to emulate?
I’m truly shocked.

Thanks for posting that. A good read. It will be interesting to see if they just pop someone in or take this as an opportunity to do a major overhaul.

I rejected our prime minister the only way i can, with my vote.

If your point that was shared by Don Cherry why did he use You vs Our language and not, We as Immigrants need to do better to uphold our values. He made himself apart of one group and immigrants part of another.

also I really don't see the immigrants as disregarding our culture as you seem to repeatedly allege.

Wow, you guys really went off lol

I think it was about time Don was let go. His ideals of hockey are no longer a way of todays hockey. The game has evolved, Don has not at all. Don has been the same old bat shit crazy Don he has always been. They needed to get rid of him, and the glory of the cup win he got over 30 years ago... i have never liked Don's pompous attitude, and self righteousness. And with all of his French Canadian bashing... I am personally, glad to see him go. Was long overdue.

Yes there are alots of Xenophobes,
Yes they come in all colours,
If you can see something wrong with the way he said it why are you defending it? I understand wanting people to wear poppies, i dont understand pinning the issue on immigrants.

I grew up in Etobicoke, Went to school in Bloor west, Went to uni in small town Ontario, Live in a DT condo and Work in parkdale, i've been all over this city for the last 28 years rich, middle-class and poor neighborhoods you dont get to tell me about what is or is not Toronto.
