they would not be able to trade this year + it is 26M thy would have to pay weber 14M salay +12 Msigning bonus

Why wouldn't they be able to move him?
They would have to front 12M to Weber.
Can't they move him once that happens?

Don't think so. Matching an offer sheet means at least 1 year with the player I think

this. if a player is signed via an offer sheet or match offer by the current team the player is not elligible to be traded for one year.

no, not at all.

4 picks is not that steep when they will all be 2x overall picks most likely. Do not see Philly not being a playoff team for the next four years so these will never be prime 1st to 10th overall picks, so the hit is not as steep as it seems. With that being said, if Nashville can draft well they can rebuild the team with 8 first round picks in four years. I would be interested to know what % of players drafted in the first round go on to play 500+ games or so and are not considered busts. So many 1st round players do not even come close to meeting expectations and fizzle out.

this, plus we are a super young team up front, one of the deepest offenses in the league easy.

this is a move to improve our weakness, which is clearly D.

with a healthy mez.kimo.coburn. and possibly weber... we will see in a week.

and we would have an average D? thats a good joke.

forgot about him

before someone tires to make a point about kimo getting older... hes still an all star D man with atleast 3 good years left in him. so dont even bother making that point.

flyers weakness no doubt has been the d..and bryz to some extent.

we are a very young team, that offensivley we are very well proven.

Bryz has his ups and down along with the d, but even a really good goalie, with a horrible d wont do good every game..especially when you lose your confidence and get into that mind set.

Now we will havw to see this season, if it really is bryz :P

I think bryz will do alot better this year, hes coming into a tough market.
